Are You Scheduled for a Telemedicine Visit?
To help make your telemedicine appointment with Mattapan Community Health Center (MCHC) as smooth and productive as possible, please review the tips below.

Before Your Appointment
Confirm with MCHC whether your visit will be by video or telephone.
Fully charge your phone, tablet, or computer before your appointment.
Let us know in advance if you need an interpreter. Language assistance is available at no cost.
Write down your symptoms, including when they started and any important details (such as your temperature or blood pressure, if available).
Make a list of any questions or concerns you would like to discuss with your provider.
Have all of your current medications nearby, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and supplements.
Start Your Appointment
You will receive a text or email at the time of your appointment with instructions included.
During Your Appointment
Find a quiet, private place where you can talk without interruptions.
Speak clearly and openly about your symptoms, concerns, and any changes in your health.
Take notes during the visit, or ask a family member or caregiver to help.
If you do not understand something, ask your provider or interpreter to explain it again.
Before the appointment ends, make sure you understand any next steps, including follow-up appointments, prescriptions, referrals, or testing.
If you have questions about your telemedicine appointment or need assistance connecting to your visit, please contact Mattapan Community Health Center at (617) 296-0061.
